Mr. Rinchen Dorji is a General
Manager for Human Resources and Administration Division. He holds a Bachelor of
Commerce degree in IT from the University of Bharathiar in Coimbatore, Tamil
Nadu, India. He began his professional journey in July 2005 as an Income Tax
Officer in the Income Tax Division, Department of Revenue under Ministry of
Finance.
During this time, he was
responsible for various tasks related to Direct Tax. His duties included
planning, forecasting, and auditing the income tax of incorporated companies
and licensed private business units. This involved conducting audits, assessing
income tax liabilities, and preparing reports and finalization of Corporate, Business
and Personal Income Tax through conducting audit exit meets. In addition to his professional
experience, he actively participated in various national and international
training programs such as OECD Tax Seminar on “Advance Tax Treaty Issues”
organized by the OECD Korea Policy Centre in South Korea, “Refresher
course for Appraiser/ Superintendent and Examiner/PO of Customs” held at
the National Academy of Customs, Excise, and Narcotics (NACEN) in Kolkata,
India, “Taxation Issues on Digital Economy” in Nagpur, India. and “Diploma in
Tax and Customs Administration” in Royal Institute of Management, Bhutan.
Mr. Rinchen Dorji joined Vajra Builders
Private Limited on July 1, 2022, and has initially served as the HR Manager for
Human Resources Section. In his role, he has been dedicated to effectively
managing various HR processes, ensuring compliance with labour laws, and
promoting a positive work environment within the organization. As General
Manager, Mr. Dorji has been responsible for overseeing both HR and
administration, the entire staffing process including recruitment, onboarding,
and outboarding of employees.
He has been careful in keeping
job descriptions up to date and in compliance with relevant regulations,
maintaining performance system to enhance employee skills and productivity. Mr.
Dorji has also played a crucial role in reviewing and maintaining the company’s
compensation strategy, conducted performance and salary reviews, ensuring that
employees receive fair evaluations and appropriate compensation, ensuring organization’s
system and policies aligns with industry standards and remain updated.
One notable contribution of Mr.
Dorji is his involvement in the development of the HR module in Vajra
Management System (VMS). The online system which played a vital role in overall
HR management and administration particularly for performance evaluation,
attendance and leave management of an employee. Resolving employee issues and
conflicts has been another important aspect of Mr. Dorji’s role to maintain a
harmonious work environment. He has been diligent in implementing and enforcing
company policies consistently across the organization
Mr. Rinchen Dorji’s involvement as
De-suups, also known as “the Guardians of Peace,” further highlights
his dedication to serving the nation. He passed out as a De-suup in the year
2016 under the 19th Batch from MTC (Multi-Tasking Centre) in Wangdiphodrang and
served as a Dzongkhag De-Suug Coordinator in Samdrup Jongkhar Dzongkhag for
over six years apart from his profession. He has attended various trainings in addition
such as; Special Refresher Course, Search and Rescue Operation and during the
Covid-19 pandemic, he was deputed to oversee De-suup administration in Samdrup
Jongkhar for two years. In this role, he managed human resources, coordinated
De-suups from different dzongkhags, and played an active part in the Dzongkhag
Covid-19 Task Force.
Mr. Dorji’s diverse expertise and skills from his national
service, along with his professional background in tax administration and HR
management, make him a well-rounded and dedicated individual. His dedication to
continuous learning, coupled with his commitment to serving the nation, make
him a valuable asset to the organization. With his experience and skills, Mr.
Dorji brings a wealth of knowledge and a proactive approach to his role as the
