The visit had been an eye-opening experience to all of us who yearn for such achievement in the construction field.
Coinciding with the celebration of 9th birth anniversary of His Royal Highness Gyalsey Jigme Namgyel Wangchuck, the management wecome two Executive De-suups and four others who have successfully completed their training in the 68th and 67th batches respectively. The celebration also saw the offering of tashi khadar to an employee who completed his probation.
Coinciding with the birth anniversary of His Royal Highness Gyalsey Jigme Namgyel Wangchuck, the Minister for Energy and Natural Resouces, officially launched the Gamri-I and Bamukparongchhu Integrated Hydropower Project at Sakteng in Tashigang.
Designed with an installed capacity of 54MW, the Gamri-I Hydropower Project is a significant initiative in Bhutan’s ongoing efforts to enhance its renewal energy capacity. Located in the eastern region of the country, this project is a part of Bhutan’s second phase of small hydropower development, aiming to bolster national energy security and contribute to socio-economic growth.
For Vajra, it is the second hydropower project to be handled. The first was the construction of 18MW Hydropower Project at Suchhu in Haa, which is scheduled to be completed and commissioned in March 2025
De-suup Rinchen Dorji received momento from the De-suung Office for his commendable service as De-suung Dzongkhag Coordinator (2017-2022) in Samdrup Jongkhar including two years of deputation during covid-19 pandemic (2020-2022) while in the civil service.
Richen joined Vajra in 2023 as the General Manager (HR and Admin Division) of the company. As dedicated De-suup, having undergone trainings in various fields of management including disaster management and search and rescue, Rinchen continues to dedicate his service by initiating disaster management training for De-supp employees in the company. Other initiative include employment of De-suups in the company in collaboration with De-suung Skilling Program (DSP) and De-suung For Gyalsung (DFG) program. The company now has 74 De-suup employees working in different fields.
The three-day Values-Based Leadership Development Training (Module-1) concluded successfully today. Attended by the management team of Vajra including Chief Executive Officer and Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the company, the training is being conducted by the Royal Institute of Management (RIM) at Vajra Construction and Service Center (VCSC) in Thimphu. Module-2 and Module-3 of the program are scheduled in the months of June and July respectively with a gap of one month in between dedicated for reflective writing vis-à-vis practical application.
The second team, comprising officials from business communities including our CEO, took off from Paro today on a tour to Mindfulness City in Gelephu. The tour is coordinated by His Majesty’s Secretariat as per the Royal Command.
With the New Year wish, the Group CEO of KUZU Company Limited presented to us the Certificate of Appreciation for the hospitality extended to them during the visit of his team to Bhutan and for being a leader in nation building on 1st January 2024.
Coinciding with the auspicious 15th day of the 7th lunar month, Vajra soft-launched its ERP System today, achieving yet another milestone in the history of the company. The system is expected to optimize its business processes by bringing together all the divisions of the company, which were otherwise operating in silos. This launch also fulfilled one of the company’s immediate objectives of leveraging technology to its advantage.
The event was graced by our Chief Executive Officer, Dy. Chief Executive Officer, top management of the company, and developer team from Thimphu TechPark Limited.
